However, forms of both analog and digital-like information were present.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Analog information<\/strong> appeared in the form of cave paintings, carvings, music, speech, sundials, and shadows. These forms represented information continuously, corresponding to real-world phenomena occurring in 3400 B.C.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Digital information<\/strong> at the time was discrete and broken down into countable units, often used for record-keeping.
